Since the audience already knew about the snack’s crunchy goodness, I didn’t waste space describing it other than to reference its cheesiness, as that is a key feature of the product. Instead, I chose to focus on the benefits of having such a huge supply—the possibilities of saving money and making friends, advantages that most college students seek. I used slang to appeal to the young audience and kept the copy exciting and upbeat to incite action.
This project was aimed at college students. It was for a sweepstakes to win a snack supply to last through the winner’s undergraduate years. The audience members were already fans of the brand. The aim was to get students to exchange their contact information for a chance to win. The second goal of the piece was to get them to share this ad with their friends.
